No-man's-land is the system's name for the middle of a distribution: price far from any band, IB edge, or profile level, drifting through the fat part of the volume histogram. Odds there are a coin flip, so the rule is absolute — never enter the middle. The coaching phrase for violating it is diddling in the middle of the range: re-taking a stale level mid-rotation after the fresh first touch is long gone. The middle has legitimate uses: it is where fade targets live (VWAP, POC), where you manage runners, and where you prepare the next edge trade. Location is the first grading criterion of every setup; if you cannot say which edge you are at and why it is fresh, you are in no-man's-land and the trade is a skip.
