Price discovery is the imbalance state, the opposite of balance. One side dominates and price moves vertically and directionally to search for a new value area, triggered by news, a volume shift, or a structural break. It is confirmed by acceptance outside the bands. The correct posture is to trade WITH the move on pullbacks and never fade it. Only about 20% of sessions trend, but those are where the biggest moves and the biggest losses live; fading a price-discovery day is the dominant way traders get run over.
