In a continuous double auction, buyers and sellers submit orders and transact when compatible prices meet. Auction Market Theory organises the resulting activity into balance, exploration, acceptance, and rejection. These are interpretive categories, not a rule that every excursion must return to value. Mark the range being discussed, the session definition, and the evidence available at that moment. Use the framework to compare scenarios, including the possibility that new information changes the range.
